Remote Accounting Support: How It Works
New Day Advisory handles accounting, tax, and payroll for clients across Tennessee who never set foot in our Hohenwald office. Most of that work runs through three tools: ShareFile for documents, AeroAdmin for screen sharing, and phone or video for everything else.
Here is how each part works in practice.
Document exchange through ShareFile
ShareFile is the client portal where documents move between you and our team. You upload W-2s, 1099s, bank statements, and source documents. We upload completed returns, financial reports, and anything that needs your review or signature.
Transfers are encrypted. Documents stay in your portal until you remove them. Nothing goes by email or fax.
Electronic signatures handle every form that requires your authorization. We send a signature request and you sign from any device. No printing, no scanning.
Screen sharing through AeroAdmin
When you run into a problem with accounting software, the fastest fix is for us to see exactly what you are seeing. We use AeroAdmin to connect to your screen and work through the issue in real time.
AeroAdmin is not a permanent installation. You control the session from start to finish. When you are ready to end it, you click Stop and the connection closes immediately.
We can help with Sage Intacct navigation errors, ADP payroll runs, ShareFile access issues, and most other accounting software problems that can be shown on a screen.
Step 2: Connect to your remote support
- Your remote operator will ask for your Client ID.
- Tell the remote operator “Your ID” number
Step 3: Allow Permissions
- Choose what remote admin can do with your PC and click “Accept”.
Step 4: Remote Session has Started
- Your computer is being controlled by the Admin.
- To stop remote connection, click “Stop” in main AeroAdmin window.
What is Available Remotely
Every service we offer in person is available remotely.
Tax preparation, payroll processing, bookkeeping, business advisory, and software support all work through the same process. Clients outside Hohenwald use us the same way walk-in clients do.
A typical tax preparation flow: you upload source documents to ShareFile, we prepare the return, walk through it together by phone, and send the signature request. From your end, the entire process happens on your computer or phone.
Who remote support works best for
Clients outside Lewis County who have no reason to drive to Hohenwald. Rural businesses in Maury, Lawrence, Wayne, Hickman, and surrounding counties. Clients in the Nashville area who want a Tennessee firm without Nashville pricing. Business owners who prefer digital records and documented workflows.
We have worked with Tennessee small businesses for 35 years. A significant portion of that work has been remote from the start, by phone and document exchange. This is not a new setup for us.
Security and access
Your session is encrypted. When you approve an AeroAdmin connection, you choose what access to grant. When the session ends, we have no remaining access to your machine or your files.
ShareFile uses encrypted storage and transfer. We do not retain documents outside your portal.
